UCAN Celebrates Arts Award Presentation with the Lord Mayor of Cardif
/UCAN recently hosted a celebratory event to honor the outstanding achievements of a group of vision-impaired primary and secondary pupils from Cardiff. These talented young individuals successfully completed their 'Explore' level Arts Awards, marking a significant milestone in their creative journeys.
Over a six-week pilot project, the pupils engaged in various artistic activities, including drama sessions and the creation of a captivating group sound story. This program not only fostered their creativity but also boosted their confidence and helped forge new friendships.
The highlight of the event was the presence of the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Bablin Molik, who presented the participants with their accredited Arts Award certificates. The celebration was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the pupils and the support they received from the Cardiff Vision Impairment Team and Cardiff Commitment | Curriculum Team.
UCAN extends its heartfelt gratitude to all partners involved in making this pilot program a resounding success. Through this collaboration, we have empowered these students to shine brightly in the arts.
