SASI stands for Self Advocacy for the Sight Impaired
This group works to improve confidence and transferable skills through creative approaches.
Open to all sight impaired individuals aged 18+, participants engage and collaborate in improvisation and other theatrical practices to develop communication skills and vocal and physical confidence. The SASI group is very welcoming and friendly, and many new friendships have started in these regular sessions.
The group also works to give opinions and feedback to organisations that approach UCAN to discuss topics such as accessing theatre and the arts, and the lived experience of people with sight loss.
