Reach The Heights Promotion Day at The Only Way Is Up Event – 26 October 2011
UCAN Productions worked in partnership with the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences to organise an event for over 300 people. UCAN promoted The Reach the Heights Project to potential participants, parents, and professionals in the Visual Impairment Sector. Past Reach The Heights Participants volunteered to help on the day, fun activities from a Circus workshop, Dinosaur Grotto – which was a great hit with all the young people, and we built a recording studio in the Lecture Theatre where everyone got to sing a song or tell a joke.
The wonderful optometry students were a terrific help in making the day so successful. We even managed to get Northwick the Teddy Bear with Nystagmus and Alex Winter from CBeebies to come and read stories.
